Install the Gavana plugin

The Gavana plugin bundles its hosted MCP connection with reusable Canvas skills. Install it when you want Gavana workflows—such as reference-image generation—to be discoverable in Codex or ChatGPT alongside the live Gavana tools.

Install from the Gavana repository

You need access to the Gavana GitLab repository and a recent Codex installation. Add the team marketplace with both the marketplace and plugin paths available:

codex plugin marketplace add https://gitlab.com/avada/gavana.ai.git --ref main --sparse .agents/plugins --sparse plugins/gavana

Then install the package:

codex plugin add gavana@gavana

Start a new Codex task after installation. The plugin’s skills are then available for automatic routing, and you can invoke one directly with a name such as $gavana-reference-images.

If Gavana asks you to sign in, complete the browser consent flow. Do not place a Personal Access Token in a repository configuration file or in a conversation.

Update

Refresh the marketplace and reinstall the package to receive a newer plugin version or newly published repository skills:

codex plugin marketplace upgrade gavana codex plugin add gavana@gavana

Start another new task after updating so Codex loads the current skill catalog.

For Gavana contributors

skills/ is the canonical source for repository-owned Gavana skills. Before committing a new skill, generate the plugin copy and verify it:

npm run plugin:gavana:sync npm run plugin:gavana:check

The sync script discovers every immediate skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md directory, so a new skills/gavana-campaign package is included without a second registry entry or manually duplicated manifest configuration.
