Connect Gavana to ChatGPT

Gavana provides a hosted Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint with OAuth. Once connected, ChatGPT can list and read your canvases, bring an exact canvas image into the conversation, open an exact canvas for review, save a ChatGPT-created image as a durable image node, and generate an image using your configured Gavana provider. It can create a private reusable workflow without running it, then run that workflow later with only the inputs that changed. ChatGPT can also discover connected video models, start video generation from a prompt or saved canvas frames, and follow the video job to completion.

Connect

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login → Developer mode and enable developer mode if your workspace permits it.

  2. Open Plugins, choose the add button, and register:

  3. Choose Connect. Gavana opens a sign-in and consent screen.

  4. Review the requested canvas, asset, image-generation, video-generation, and job permissions, then approve the connection.

ChatGPT returns to the plugin after the OAuth authorization-code flow completes. You never paste a Gavana Personal Access Token into ChatGPT; it uses the separate OAuth consent flow.

Saving and generation require a caller-stable idempotency key so retries do not create duplicate canvas work. The persistent Agent Canvas is the default destination when no specific canvas is selected. When a ChatGPT image should be the first video frame, ChatGPT saves it to Gavana first and uses the returned node and canvas handles.

Creating a workflow only saves its graph and does not call an image provider. For example, a T-shirt mockup workflow can mark the durable shirt photograph as a fixed default and leave the illustration as the changing input. Later runs only need a new illustration. Running the workflow can consume provider credits, and both image and workflow runs may outlive one tool call, so ChatGPT uses the returned run or job handle to check it again.

If you connected Gavana before video generation was available, disconnect and reconnect it in ChatGPT once so the connection can request the new permission.

Disconnect

Disconnect the plugin in ChatGPT to stop new use from that client. You can also revoke the underlying ChatGPT · Plugin credential in Gavana’s Personal Access Tokens settings. Revocation takes effect on the next request.

Security notes

  • The hosted endpoint accepts OAuth bearer tokens only.
  • Authorization uses PKCE with an exact ChatGPT callback and an exact https://app.gavana.ai/mcp resource audience.
  • Image imports accept public HTTPS URLs and reject private or local network destinations.
  • Product reference imports use the same private-network protections, retain the product-page and variant provenance on every durable node, and never invoke a provider. If an exact selector such as colorDisplayCode=08 cannot be tied to page gallery evidence—or the page exposes multiple variants without a selector—the tool returns review_required and creates no pack rather than mixing variants.
  • Workflow, image, and video generation can consume credits or incur charges with the provider you connected to Gavana.
